In practice for over a decade, Yung Park, MD, is a compassionate psychiatrist and the CEO at elevate medical, located in the Flatiron District of Manhattan in New York City. Dr. Park is a committed advocate for inclusive, accessible mental health care and strives to help each patient cultivate their best self that already exists within.
Dr. Park brings her expertise as a double board-certified physician in internal medicine and psychiatry, having practiced both in the in-hospital setting and as an outpatient clinician. After obtaining her medical degree at Ross University, Dr. Park completed a combined internship and residency in internal medicine and psychiatry at the University of Kansas Medical Center. To further her training, she completed a fellowship in psychosomatic medicine and consult-liaison psychiatry at Yale University.
Guiding both Dr. Park’s clinical and personal pursuits is her passion for women’s mental wellness. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Park is also a volunteer physician for the non-profit health organizations Physicians for Human Rights and HealthRight International. She assists with writing affidavits for those seeking asylum, specifically women who have undergone female genital mutilation, and other forms of violence and persecution. She lends her expertise by providing physical and psychological evaluations for survivors of torture and trauma, and evaluating and documenting evidence of human rights abuses.
Dr. Park has also been an assistant clinical professor for the University of Vermont School of Medicine for six years. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
